"After spotting some surprisingly cheap airline tickets online, I surprised my girlfriend with a last-minute trip to Scotland. I just figured we'd see visit some ancient castles and battlefields and those ruined border abbeys. Really soak up that history. Pretend we're highlanders for a few days! We did all that, but we weren't expecting to also have such a good time in the surprisingly artsy and cosmopolitan city of Edinburgh with all its amazing architecture, shops, theaters and music everywhere. There's a cool bar just waiting to offer you a "wee scotch" for just a couple pounds on every single block!"
