In Part 3 of our podcast series on the Houses of Parliament’s Voice & Vote exhibit celebrating women’s suffrage in the UK, we join curators Melanie Unwin and Mari Takayanagi as they talk with BHT’s Amy Grigg’s as they talk about the history of women being elected to the House of Parliament and in 1958 sitting in the House of Lords for the first time as life peers. We learn about Lady Nancy Astor’s reception in Parliament after her election.
