The British Prime Minister gave the public a grave address last night

The United Kingdom appears to be in a spot of bother regarding the coronavirus.

The Virus has spread throught the country, with London being particularly badly hit. London's pulic transport system certainly lends itself to the virus spreading, as communters are in close proximity with eachother at all times.

The British government's response to this pandemic has been highly questioned around the world. Just two weeks ago, it appeared the plan was to allow 'herd immunity' to develop across the country. That plan has since been quashed after it came under heavy fire from doctors and scientists.

Since then, the UK has been playing catch up. They have been slowly gearing up towards a total lockdown, and that day has finally come. Boris Johnson addressed the nation and explained the need for everyone to stay in their homes except for essential travel.

Boris explained how the coronavirus is 'the biggest threat' the country has faced in decades, and outlined the measures of the lockdown.

This is an unprecedented time for many countries.
