"When I arrived in Penzance, St. Michael's Mount really dominated the landscape.  I could see it from the time I checked into the Queens Hotel and was anxiously awaiting the evening of our photo shoot of this incredible castle in the distance. It reminded me of photos I had seen of Mont Saint Michel in France. When we walked from the hotel with our equipment, I was hoping to capture a memorable photo. I had no idea I would be standing in the water with my wide angle lens mounted on my tripod in order to achieve the right effect. When I started shooting there was no reflection in the water, but as the sun set, the atmosphere changed dramatically. For about one hour, I shot continually with the castle in front of me and this amazing sunset to my right that revealed a beautiful pink color in the water. I kept changing my position until the lights went on in the castle, reflecting in the puddle created by the changing tide. It was exciting to witness the transformation in the lines of the sand and water as they contributed to this magical moment. It became the highlight of my trip to Cornwall."
