How much do you know about Lady Gabriella Windsor?

Lady Gabriella was born at St Mary's Hospital, London on April 23, 1981, to her parents Baroness Marie Christine von Reibnitz and Prince Michael of Kent. She has an older brother, Lord Frederick, born in 1979.

The family lived at Kensington Palace, in an apartment paid for by The Queen until 2008 when members of Parliament demanded Prince and Princess Michael pay the full market-rate amount of £120,000.

Lady Gabriella is King Charles' cousin and they are both great-grandchildren of King George V. She is currently 56th in the line of succession to the British throne.

She works as a writer and contributing editor and her pieces have appeared in several outlets including the Sunday Telegraph, the Evening Standard, and Country Life, She is also a singer-songwriter and has released songs to raise money for a charity

Lady Gabriella became engaged to financier Thomas Kingston in the summer of 2018 after having dated for several years. 

The couple married in 2019 at St George's Chapel, in Windsor Castle, with Queen Elizabeth II and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh as well as Prince William and Prince Harry, among the guests.

On February 28, 2024, Buckingham Palace announced the sudden death of Thomas Kingston, aged 45. 

The death was described as a "great shock to the whole family".

A statement made on behalf of Lady Gabriella and Mr Kingston's family said: "It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother.

"Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him. His death has come as a great shock to the whole family and we ask you to respect our privacy as we mourn his passing."
