There is a new Royal baby in the world!

Buckingham Palace has announced that Princess Eugenie gave birth to a baby boy yesterday morning (February 9th).

Weighing in at 8lbs 1oz, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their first child at the Portland Hospital in London. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's child Archie was also born in this hospital.

The child is the ninth great-grandchild of the Queen, and the first grandchild for Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York.

The new addition will instantly become 11th in line for the throne - meaning that Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, will move down to 12th place in the line of succession. Having been 3rd in line when he was born, its quite the drop!

Several members of the Royal Family were quick to take to Twitter to offer their congratulations.

Princess Eugenie and her husband were married in October 2018 at St George’s Chapel, on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Regarding the child's name, it is yet to be announced, but betting odds have the name Arthur as the 5/1 favorite. Frederick, Edward, and Albert are all also reportedly being considered as serious options.

It has undoubtedly been a difficult 18 months for the Royal Family, so the latest addition will be a boost to morale.

While no proper celebrations can be held due to the United Kingdom's coronavirus restrictions, there will surely be a big one when the time is right.

Congratulations to Eugenie and Jack.
