A sweater once gifted to Princess Diana by Sir Richard Branson is set to be auctioned next month, with experts predicting it could be sold for as much as $5,000

The navy sweater, which featured the slogan "Fly Virgin Atlantic", was a gift from the Virgin founder himself and was worn near constantly by Diana as a way to troll the paparazzi who followed her on a daily basis. Diana's personal trainer Jenni Rivett revealed that Diana believed that "wearing the famous Virgin sweatshirt to every session would be a good way to stop the media frenzy.”

The sweater was gifted to Jenni Rivett by Diana months before she died in 1997, along with a note that read: “Dearest Jenni, Lots of love from, Diana, x”.

According to Britain’s Daily Express newspaper, the sweater will be sold at RR Auction house in Boston, Massachusetts next month
