A Royal expert has appeared on Good Morning Britain to reveal the details of Prince Harry and Prince William's alleged feud
Royal biographer Robert Lacey, 76, appeared on the ITV's show Good Morning Britain to discuss Prince Harry and Prince William's alleged feud, which goes back years according to the expert.
Lacey said that the feud went all the way back to the 80s and stems from the early life of the two boys.
He told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, the hosts of the show, that "It would be nice at this moment not to have brothers who were quarreling, but coming back together...It goes right back to the beginning, it's chickens coming home to roost from all the trouble of the 80s and the 90s. These young boys are the product of marital turmoil and took too opposite lessons from it."
Lacey detailed how it was William who took on the mantle of becoming King from an early age, and started to prepare himself for the role. He said ''William took the lesson of duty. As he went through these difficult times the prospect that he was gonna be king, was an inspiration for him, a strength for him to the degree for example, that when he fell in love, he politely asked his girlfriend to wait 9 or 10 years before they got married to make sure that she would be good for the job.''
Clearly, William had his eye on the position of King from the beginning.
Harry, however, seemed to take a different path. Lacey explained ''Harry took the opposite conclusion from the turmoil of his parents loveless arranged marriage that he was going to go for love, and so we're looking at a clash between these eternal principles of love versus duty."
Lacey also discussed how Meghan Markle's presence in the family may have been a factor in the frosty relations between Harry and William. He said ''William was quite right to say to Harry, 'Look, this is a challenge you're bringing into the family, how's it going to work?' and with wisdom after the event, one has to say not enough preparations were made. She wasn't made to feel important enough and they are now where they want to be."
There are clearly many elements to this story, and one feels that there is more news to emerge regarding Harry and William's relationship.
