British Heritage Travel reader Michele Turfler wins our May photo competition with this beautiful image of the breathtaking view from Warkworth Castle in Northumberland. Check out the photo below!

"My husband and I just returned from a 10-day vacation in England. We spent four days driving from Lincoln to Edinburgh along the eastern coast. Along the way, we visited 14 castles, two cathedrals, and two priories. On the day we took this photo, we started our adventure with a visit to Hadrian's Wall at Heddon-on-the-Wall then drove to Tynemouth Priory before heading north to Warkworth. As you can tell, it was a beautiful day and surprisingly, we were the only visitors--which always makes a medieval castle more magical!"
