The Queen? Harry? Prince William? With everything you read in the international media do you ever wonder who exactly is the most popular member of the Royal family with the British people?

There's no denying it! The world is obsessed with news about the British Royal family. From what they're wearing to personal heartfelt interviews with Oprah, their diplomatic meetings to charity work. Their fans from the US to India want to read about their every move but do you know who the British people favor as their top Royal?

In the first quarter of 2021 (Jan - Mar), YouGov a data collection agency carried out research with the public and found out the most popular Royals among their subjects. 

You might be surprised by some of the results. These results show the "popularity is the % of people who have a positive opinion of a royal."

Queen Elizabeth II - 68%

Queen Elizabeth II.

Queen of the United Kingdom and 15 other Commonwealth realms, Queen Elizabeth garners a win of 68%, meaning this percentage of the public hold her in positive regard. The 95-year-old monarch has served as the Queen for 69 years, every stoic and gracious there's little wonder she's held in high regard.

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge - 61%

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, is the second in line to the throne, the grandson of the Queen and son of Prince Charles.

Like most of the direct Royal family, William's role means he performs official duties and engagements on behalf of the Queen. He holds patronage with over 30 charitable and military organisations, including the Tusk Trust, Centrepoint, and London's Air Ambulance Charity.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge - 59%

Commonly know by her maiden name, Kate Middleton, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, is Prince William's wife. When William becomes King she will likely be the future queen consort.

In 2018, Harry married the American actress Meghan Markle. In January 2020, the couple stepped down as senior members of the royal family and moved to the Duchess's native Southern California. The couple have two children, Archie and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor.

Zara Phillips - 41%

Zara Anne Elizabeth Tindall MBE is a British equestrian, an Olympian, and the daughter of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips. She is the eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. At birth, she was sixth in the line of succession to the British throne. she is now 20th in line.

She married rugby union player Mike Tindall in 2011. The couple has three children.
