Queen Elizabeth has made a bit of a habit of breaking record after record.

Her Majesty became the longest-serving British monarch in 2015, cementing herself as a true icon in British Royal history.

Louis XIV holds the record for the longest reign on the throne. The former king of France was declared king at the ripe old age of 4 after his father died in 1643.

Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand sits in 2nd place on the list. Thailand's ninth monarch took the reigns in 1946 before his death, in 2016. The King was very well-liked in Thailand, and a year of mourning was declared following his death.

In 3rd place is Johann II, the former King of Liechtenstein. He ruled the small country from the age of 18 until his death, in 1929.
