Zara Tindall's love for horses is no secret, but she has just made royal history by accepting a new position and title within the equestrian world
The Queen's eldest granddaughter has just become the first royal to be appointed to the Cheltenham Racecourse committee.
But what does it mean?
Zara's new role is of a non-executive director and will see her help the chairman and executive in operating the racecourse. The royal takes up the position on January 1, 2020.
The former Olympian, who is the daughter of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips, takes after her mother as a passionate horse lover and talented rider, winning silver at the London Olympics in 2012.
