There's no denying it! The world is obsessed with news about the British Royal family. From what they're wearing to personal heartfelt interviews with Oprah, their diplomatic meetings to charity work. Their fans from the US to India want to read about their every move but do you know who the British people favor as their top Royal?
In the first quarter of 2021 (Jan - Mar), YouGov a data collection agency carried out research with the public and found out the most popular Royals among their subjects.
You might be surprised by some of the results. These results show the "popularity is the % of people who have a positive opinion of a royal."
Queen Elizabeth II - 68%
Queen of the United Kingdom and 15 other Commonwealth realms, Queen Elizabeth garners a win of 68%, meaning this percentage of the public hold her in positive regard. The 95-year-old monarch has served as the Queen for 69 years, every stoic and gracious there's little wonder she's held in high regard.
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge - 61%
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, is the second in line to the throne, the grandson of the Queen and son of Prince Charles.
Like most of the direct Royal family, William's role means he performs official duties and engagements on behalf of the Queen. He holds patronage with over 30 charitable and military organisations, including the Tusk Trust, Centrepoint, and London's Air Ambulance Charity.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge - 59%
Commonly know by her maiden name, Kate Middleton, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, is Prince William's wife. When William becomes King she will likely be the future queen consort.
